Amazon Swimwear Shopping Guide and Review
With spring break, vacations, and summer around the corner, it is that time of year again—whether you like it or not—time to shop for swim wear and bathing suits. Even though I stay in shape, it’s definitely NOT my favorite thing to do.
As I’ve been blogging, covering swim wear has not been something I ever really considered, due to my professional job. However, when I started working with Amazon retailers, I had the opportunity to try some Amazon swimwear. I’m not fully trying on every swimsuit (due to my job), but am showcasing a few with shorts and giving you flatlays of ALL of my favorites! I am only compiling the ones I liked and will actually wear to the pool this summer. I did receive others, but I don't feel like I can give an honest recommendation on those, so these are my tried and true!
I will also have to say I was so pleasantly surprised with Amazon swim wear. I have struggled with finding the right bathing suits to wear my whole life from other retailers, but lo and behold, almost ALL of the Amazon bathing suits fit but were in style and SUPER flattering. I can feel confident wearing all of these to the pool, which I cannot always say in regards to swimwear! If you have never tried Amazon swim and are hesitant, I say go for it! I was pleasantly surprised, happy, and will be an Amazon swimwear buyer for life!
ONE PIECES
As you can see from the photo above, I wore my one pieces with shorts to give you an idea of what they looked like on! As you can see they fit great and even look great with shorts, which is perfect as you stroll the beach or head to the pool. They are all flattering and fit well on the bottom. These are my four favorite one piece swimsuits that you can see me wearing above (with the exception of the criss cross black one).
Criss-Cross Black One-Piece: This is such a great one piece swimsuit by Blooming Jelly! It looks so cute on its own and with shorts (it can almost pass for a bodysuit with the sexy front). If you want a sexy one piece as a go-to over a two-piece, than this is for you! It fits true to size, as I got a Small. It has nice coverage in the back and legs are not too high cut in the front. I am smaller chested and did not feel like this was a problem. It has padded cups, and I felt it was still flattering and created the illusion of more cleavage. Plus, it’s only $15.99!
Tropical Black Halter One-Piece: This one piece has to be one of my favorites of the four!! It is sooooo flattering and sexy! It fits true to size. I am typically an Extra Small at places like Express and Old Navy (usually a Small in Amazon clothes). After reading reviews, I got an Extra Small and am glad I did not size up. So size down! It has nice coverage in the black with legs that are not too high cut. It has flattering ruching in the front (nothing too crazy—just enough), so this will be the one I’m wearing when I don’t want to worry about what I’m eating or drinking! It has a flattering halter top style with mesh and colorful, tropical colors. The cut and mesh make it sexy. I think this also can pass for a body suit and looks super cute with shorts! I would totally wear this with shorts. This will be my go to when I want to feel confident and relaxed at the pool or beach. Plus, it’s only $25.99!
Polka Dot One-Piece: This was another bathing suit by Blooming Jelly that was a pleasant surprise. I got a Small and am glad I did. It fits true to size and the cut in the front with a low back is also sexy yet provides enough coverage if you want it. Unlike the first two, this has high cut legs in the front, so this may not be a good option if that is not your favorite. This is another great option to wear as body suit and is so cute. Only $17.00!
Ruffle One Shoulder One-Piece: Another great Blooming Jelly find, this is a cute one piece! Like the polka dot one (this is also available in a polka dot combo), this has high cut legs but more coverage across the top with the. one shoulder. I got a Small, and it fits true to size. Super cute and on trend. Only $25.00!
TWO PIECES
Below, you will find my favorite two piece swimsuits that fit well, are flattering, and true to size! These are all in my closet and will be on pool rotation!
Padded American Two-Piece: If you are looking for a more traditional two piece (mid-rise, regular top), this is for you! The top is flattering with push up cups, and the bottom fits perfectly with nice coverage. I got a Small, and it fits true to size. This is perfect for the Fourth of July! If you don’t like the red, white, and blue, there are a TON of color options for $17.99.
Amazon Triangle Top with Leopard High Waisted Bottoms: This two piece is the perfect two piece if you want high waisted bottoms that are still sexy! The triangle top has padding and is very flattering. I love the leopard print on these high-waisted bottoms—they are so perfect! They do have high cut legs and a slightly cheeky bottom, so if you want more coverage, they may not be for you. If you want a trendy, high waisted bottom that still has a sexy vibe, this suit is for you and is only $12.99. I ordered a Small, true to size.
Amazon Holipick High Waisted Floral Bottom with Strappy Top: This is the same company that made my favorite halter one piece, and I’m loving this two piece just as much! If you want a trendy high waisted bottom with full coverage and great fitting top, this two piece is for you. I love the print on the bottom, the high waist, and the full coverage bottom. This top also has padded cups, but the straps in the front had a sexy vibe. So flattering and trendy. I got an Extra Small in this. Only $24.99!
