My Top Five Home Decor Picks for Christmas 2020

Decorating for Christmas every year is definitely one of my favorite times in my home! Since I was recently quarantined for two weeks, I was able to get all of my Christmas decor and Chrismas lights up. It made my home feel so cozy!

Since I am not changing too much in my Christmas decor from previous years, I decided to approach this post slightly differently by identifying my top favorite finds for home decor based on use (classic finds to use over the year), quality, price, and trends for 2020!

Number Five: Faux (or Real!) Poinsettias!

There is nothing like the classic look of a poinsettia in your home decor. Poinsettias are a great filler, anda way to bring a pop of color, texture, and nature into your wintery home decor. Whether you opt for real (you can never go wrong with the real deal) or faux (I prefer so I don’t have to worry about watering and can use year to year), I would consider integrating these into your decor.

I have gotten both my red and white poinsettias from Old Time Pottery. Unfortunately, I cannot link up items, since you can only shop in store, but if you have one in the area, I highly recommend checking them out for affordable faux home greenery, plants, and flowers.

Number Four: Target Miniature Tinsel Trees

These miniature Target tinsel trees were everywhere on Instagram, and once I saw them, I knew I had to have them! They are great filler for decor, especially if you have empty spaces on a bookshelf, shelf, countertop, fireplace mantel, or any table! I liked how they filled my lazy Susan vignette and added some greenery and sparkle. If you do not want the sparkle, they also come in plain green. Linking them up below!

Number Three: Amazon Faux Fur Stockings

One thing I did change up this year were my Christmas stockings. Although I obviously still have pops of red in my decor, believe it or not, I decided to tone down the red in my decor and wanted more natural elements like gold, greens, and browns. Instead of my buffalo check stockings with the faux fur, I wanted more luxe texture with a full faux fur stocking in a richer color. After some searching, I came across these faux fur stockings from Amazon that mirror way more expensive kinds! I linked up ones currently available. These tend to sell out quick, so be sure to order now.

Number Two: Affordable Tree Collars

Another change I integrated this year was the addition of a tree collar as opposed to a traditional tree skirt in my downstairs tree. Again, I wanted more a natural look downstairs and liked the muted and rustic wicker tree collar. I got mine from Michael’s on a fabulous deal (unfortunately out of stock right now!). When they are discounted, they sell out quick, so be sure to get one when you see it. I’m linking up ones on sale right now!

Plow & Hearth (only $29.99)

Target ($40.00 in store only)

Crate & Barrel ($40 clearance, limited stock)

Number One: Big Lots Flocked Christmas Trees

When I purchased my Big Lots 9 feet tall flocked Christmas tree last year, I absolutely fell in love with it. I had wanted a flocked tree for some time, and I loved the bright white in my living room. On top of all of that, the tree was such high quality (still looks good a year later!) and was much more affordable than other flocked trees. I highly recommend checking out Big Lots for affordable, high quality Christmas trees. If you are interested, check out their trees still available and even more discounted!
