Reviewing my Experience of Shopping the Antonio Melani Line at Dillard's Great Northern

Before the days of major online shopping, I was a lover of the mall. My whole life growing up, I spent time at the local mall with my mom and grandma. My special days off of school or work (even as I was an adult) consisted of a lunch date and hitting all of my favorite stores and department stores. I was a lover of the Mall and shopping so much, I even worked as a fragrance girl in college and part of grad school. When looking to move into my first place that was my own, being nearby a busy mall community was important. I ended up moving less than a a few miles from a mall, and when I was bored or down, I would always go walk around and browse (and end up shopping) my favorite stores.

While I love online shopping and ordering, I will admit there is nothing yet that takes the place of a traditional mall or department store shopping trip in person. I was recently again reminded of that, as I was invited to try out and feature the latest influencer collaboration at Dillard’s Great Northern with Born on Fifth X Antonio Melani this spring. If you are unaware, Antonio Melani is a line exclusive to Dillard’s that is considered their top designer line. As a result of this collaboration, I was re-introduced to the Dillard’s Shopping Experience (there is nothing like their fitting rooms and department associates who provide the highest quality service that is not equaled in an online or discount store environment), and was immersed in the world of Antonio Melani and the latest spring and summer fashions. Being in store, I was able to see and touch each item, which allowed me to really take in the quality of the material and item that I would be unable to see online. At times, I also find pieces will catch my eye in store in person that would not necessarily translate the same way online. I was also able to try on all pieces in person, and they are all so tailored and beautiful!

Despite the challenges of shopping in person during COVID-19, I felt extremely safe and comfortable, as the store was not overly crowded, and I was able to shop in peace and at a large distance from any other individuals. My dressing room experience was also very safe, clean, and socially distanced. If you are still not quite ready to shop in person during a global pandemic, you can still support your local Dillard’s by shopping online and picking up curbside, which is a service offered at Great Northern.

Look One: On Trend Flare Jeans with a Chinoiserie Inspired Halter Top

When choosing my first outfit, this gorgeous print and flare jeans first caught my eye. I could see how Antonio Melani brought in the Born on Fifth line inspiration with this pretty top. I love how halter tops look with bare shoulders and an updo. Not only does it go perfectly with denim, it is a great business casual option for a relaxed office during the summer time (I can’t wait to tuck it into a navy pencil skirt or ankle pants) or for a date night look. I knew I had to try on the flare jeans with this top, and these flare jeans fit like a glove! They were super flattering, super high quality, and elongated my legs. Look Two: Navy Blue Tailored Tank and Culottes

This look was the one I was most pleasantly surprised about, as I was unsure about the culottes. After pairing them with this tailored top, this look is office ready for the summer. So chic and on trend, I feel ready to conquer the world! It was able to easily accessorize with other items in my closet, including fun heels, my favorite bag, and a matching belt.

Look Three: Red Romper

As you can see this last look is the one that is first featured on this post! When I first saw this, I knew I had to try it on. I loved how this romper really looked like a dress with the flowy shorts and ruffle sleeve. The cut is very tailored with high quality material, and the shorts are a great length—not too short or long. I can’t wait to wear this to my next patio dinner!

Accessorize the Look With Antonio Melani Shoes

I was extremely impressed with the quality and look of the Antonio Melani shoe collection. Between the details, the on trend yet classic silhouettes, and the variety of heights, I had a hard time choosing! Overall, I am in LOVE with all of my Antonio Melani pieces for the Spring and Summer 2021 season. They are such high quality and unlike anything I have in my closet, which allowed my love for in-person and department store shopping at a classic place like Dillard’s to be revived.
