Ideas for Self-Care During Social Distancing
With so much going on around just that is out of our control (like being unable to get our nails done or go to the salon!), it is nice to be able to control SOME things, especially when it comes to self-care or “beauty treatments,” as my mom calls it! Even though I can’t do some things, I am trying to maintain some components of self-care, and there is SO much you can do at home to make this happen! I’m sharing a few of my favorite routines and products to keep myself in tip top shape! I will continue to add to this when I can or think of things I’m doing for self-care. :)
SKIN CARE
Yeouth Skin Care
As you can see above, skin care is always one of my priorities, quarantine or not! I have been using the Yeouth skin care line for over a year, and I’m LOVING so many of their products, especially their serums. One of the serums I’m featuring tonight is the Pure Hyaluronic Serum. I have used other serums and have loved them! This is another one I’m adding into my skin care regimen. I love using the Hyaluronic acid at night, as when I wake up, my skin is soft and silky. I highly recommend giving these products a try! I’m linking a few of my favorite products below that you may want to consider adding to your day and night routine.
TAO Facial Cleansing Device
Earlier this week, I shared all about the TAO cleansing device! If you are looking to pamper yourself and get your skin in tip top shape during this time, you cannot forget to cleanse well and exfoliate! This awesome cleansing device does just that! Not only is it effective, one of my favorite features is that it disinfects the brush with UV-C Light while the device is charging in its base! Be sure to check out my blog post here to learn more.

EYES
A few weeks ago, I shared a blog post all about caring for tired eyes. You can click to learn more, but a great way to pamper and de-stress is through the use of eye masks! I love these—they create a calm and cooling feeling around the eye area and get rid of any puffiness, dark circles, and lines! These are a must have when I’m doing my “beauty treatments.”
Don’t forget to incorporate my Hukka Eye Orbs into your routine. These are cold rock that de-puff and bring relief to your eyes (also great for migraines!).

HAIR
Bali Secret Hair Vitamins
Before the quarantine happened, I was working on putting together some content on the B3 Hair Conditioning Treatment that I was getting at my salon! With salons currently closed, it does not make a whole ton of sense for me to share that now (I will once we get back to some normalcy!). However, I have been looking for ways to keep my hair in tip top shape and discovered these hair vitamins that contain moroccan oil, macadamia oil, avocado oil, and a bunch of vitamins! After you get out of the shower, just break open a few and run through your hair. This is a great way to maintain hair headlines while we wait during the quarantine.
Loreal Magic Root Cover-Up Spray
My hair appointment was supposed to be this weekend! :( I’m lucky that my hair appointment was 4 weeks into quarantine so I was not desperately in need of hair color. In addition, I also go every 8 weeks, so I could technically even try to stretch it out 10-12 weeks. Plus, my blonde is not that far off from my natural color AND I’m getting outside, so the sun always helps! Despite all of that, in the event this goes on longer than another month, I was able to pick up this Magic Root Cover-Up Spray from Loreal. This is a great alternative to box color while we wait for that next hair appointment! It is also not permanent, so it washes out and does not do any long-term damage to your hair.
I linked up a few options below!
NAILS
MANICURE
So, as most of you know, I have had acrylic nails forever! During quarantine, I did soak them off and am going au natural! At this time, I’m unsure if I will stay with my natural nails or go back to acrylics, but in the meantime, I’m using these nail strips to keep them looking cute and how I usually like them.
PEDICURE
I miss getting my pedicures, and I’m probably not going to be doing a full out pedicure anytime soon. However, I have been enjoying this Whisk Exfoliating Foot Mask that I got in my FabFitFun box last spring/summer. It does a great job of keeping my feet as soft as possible sans pedicure.
TEETH WHITENING
SMILE BRILLIANT
This past fall I was able to try out Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening System and talked about it quite a bit then. I forgot to mention this in my original video (shoot!) but wanted to mention this here, as I recently revisited my whitening kit and HAVE been using the trays and teeth whitening gel as part of my self-care to make me feel GOOD during this time.

OTHER RECENT BEAUTY FINDS
Other Recent Beauty Finds that I have been enjoying are below!
Smashbox Superfan Mascara: My IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara was on backorder (everything I wanted was on backorder!), so I had to dig into my make-up supply. I’m always thankful that I have plenty of make-up products and samples to try. I’m LOVING this mascara and glad I had it as a back-up.
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm: I received this as a free sample with a recent Clinique purchase. I have tried the original Take the Day Off liquid make-up remover and never liked how dry my skin felt afterward. I have generally used Vaseline for eye make-up removal but am loving this alternative!
Awake Lip Therapy: I received this in my March Ipsy Bag, and I am LOVING it! I always deal with dry lips due to use of my matte lip colors, as well as my use of Retin-A-Micro. I’ve been using this at night and love how moisturized lips are in the morning.
So that wraps up the ways I’ve been doing my “beauty treatments!” Click here to watch my video!
