Social Distancing with Winc Wine
I don’t know about you but having readily available wine for my dinners and evenings is an absolute MUST! During “normal” times, this is part of my routine, and social distancing/quarantine (whatever you want to call it) is no exception! Since I’ve been home, I’ve probably consumed more wine due to boredom, as well as not going out to dinner and getting my wine fix there and at happy hour. Due to the pandemic, I’ve really limited my time going to stores and trying to schedule curbside pick-up or grocery delivery has definitely been a challenge. This CANNOT cut into my wine stock! I was so excited to be able to try the Winc service, as this easily made my ability to ensure I have my wine stock so much easier!

I was able to go online and customize my Winc Box. Most people get four bottles, but it looks like you can get as many bottles as you would like! Unlike other wine delivery services I have tried, you are not tied to their selections and/or a mix of red/white wines. Since I am pretty much a red wine only drinker, I liked being able to get red wine only and pick out bottles that I knew I would actually drink and wanted to try!
After about a week, I received my Winc order via FedEx. One caution—you do have to show your ID in order to receive your box, so you are not 100% social distancing; however, it beats going to the store and dealing with crowds/lines of people, touching products, and a grocery cart. FedEx was completely understanding about this, as they kept a large distance, and I just showed my ID through my screen door. They even put my initials in to sign—Thank you FedEx!
My wine was packed perfectly, and I was so excited to receive my selection! The bottles looked intriguing, and I always love trying new wines I have never heard or seen of before! Winc also provides a book with information on the wines and how to best pair them with food. I have also received emails that provided recipes to pair with the wine.
