New York & Company Closet: Unique and Fun Fashion Without Going Broke

I have consistently been an advocate of using clothing rentals to stay on trend with fashion, wear new things, but not go broke. Too often I see a trendy item I need to have but only end up wearing it once before I’m tired of it or feel it is already out of the date following season or next year. I always say what a waste of $60 (or even $100!)! It is one thing to invest in classic pieces (i.e., dress pants, jeans, blazers, skirts), but it’s another to drop money on a trendy item that will be a flash in the pan. I also find that when I have a special event I will invest in a piece that’s gorgeous, but once I’m seen in a dozen photos from the event, I feel like I can never wear that item again!
